The Hon’ble government has started to use strictness regarding the carelessness in providing services to the people. Punjab Housing and Urban Development Department has issued show cause notices to 42 officials/employees. Apart from these, 3 officials have also been chargesheeted on the charge of dereliction of duty.
These include Jaspal Kaur Assistant Estate Officer Patiala Development Authority, Rajesh Kumar Senior Assistant (Accounts) Amritsar Development Authority and Parminder Singh Senior Assistant Estate Office Gamada.
Minister Aman Arora said that the Department of Housing and Urban Development has established an online system to provide timely services. The applications and files received by the department are being monitored by the senior officers and themselves. He personally investigated the pending cases at all levels. It was found that 45 officers/employees of the department have the highest number of cases pending, to whom show cause notices have been issued.
