Inflation shock to the people of Punjab, increased prices of flour and bread

Another shock of inflation has hit Punjab. Despite assurances from the Food Corporation of India (FCI), work has almost come to a standstill in flour mills in Punjab due to non-issue of wheat tenders for the past 5 months. Due to this, products made from flour and flour have become expensive in the market. The price of flour and flour has increased by Rs 15 to Rs 20 per 10 kg, while bread of various brands has also gone up by Rs 5.

One month before the arrival of wheat from other states, wheat shortage has arisen in Punjab. Due to this, flour prices are constantly breaking records. It may be mentioned that wheat is supplied to the states by FCI but this time it has been delayed due to non-issue of tender.
