Strong earthquake shocks were felt 23 km east of Noordgi in Turkey. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 7.8 on the Richter scale. This earthquake occurred in southern Turkey. According to the news agency, many apartments and buildings have collapsed here. Heavy loss of life and property is also being reported in this. However, this matter has not been officially confirmed yet.
The earthquake occurred at 4:17 am local time at a depth of about 17.9 km. Meanwhile, the US Geological Service says a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck near Gaziantep in southern Turkey on Monday. Due to which the news of huge losses in Turkey and Syria has come out. In this regard, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey said that the earthquake was felt for one minute. Turkish authorities have not yet reported any deaths or injuries.
According to media reports, the Ministry of Interior of Turkey says that a high alert has been declared after the powerful earthquake. Many videos of it are also coming out on social media. The damage caused by the earthquake can be clearly seen in these videos. Many buildings are feared to collapse and get trapped in the debris.
