Gold worth 50 lakhs looted from foreign nationals at IGI Airport in the name of investigation, two policemen arrested

Delhi Police has arrested two head constables in the case of robbery of gold worth Rs 50 lakh in the name of investigation at Indira Gandhi Airport. Both of them were posted in the Special Operation Squad of IGI Airport Police Station. It is alleged that they stopped people from Muscat and Dubai and took away all the gold in the name of investigation. People from abroad brought gold to give to someone else. The police suspect that this gold has been smuggled to India.

These policemen have looted this gold from different people who came from Muscat and Dubai. According to the police, a resident of Rajasthan who came from Muscat filed a complaint on December 24 that the two policemen took him to the forest on the night of December 20 and robbed him of 600 grams of gold and also beat him up. On the other hand, a Telangana resident returning from Dubai also filed a complaint that on the same day, two policemen robbed him of 400 grams of gold.
