Chandigarh Police ASI Recruit, Army Clerk Filled 2 Forms in Name of Wife, Arrested

A Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) of the Indian Army has been arrested for forgery and cheating while submitting an online form for ASI recruitment in Chandigarh Police.

The accused has been identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of Alipura village near Uchana in Jind district of Haryana. Police said Kumar was arrested from his post at Army Headquarters STC 1 in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. On Tuesday, he was sent to police remand for two days. Kumar had filled two forms in his wife’s name.

According to the report, Anil Kumar filled the correct details using his wife’s photograph in one form, while in the other he used someone else’s photograph using his wife’s details. The person whose photo was used has been identified. The police have also questioned Kumar’s wife in this case. His wife said that she gave her information to her husband, who filled the forms on her behalf. He did not know that two online forms were filled in his name.
