A poetry book ‘Rising Waves’ written by Jasmine Grewal published by Poetry Society of India, was released today by Dr. Sardara Singh Johal, Chancellor of Central University, Bathinda. The book contains 52 poems relating to subjects, God, Nature, love, environment, culture and global and local events.

Dr. Jarnail Singh Anand, Prof Emeritus European Institute of Roma Research, Belgrade in the ‘Foreword’ considers the book rich in emotional content and laced with rare passion and powerful imagery and adds that the work is a poetic treat by a young mind presenting a fresh outlook, beautiful word patterns, and metaphors and its scintillating flow.

The book compels attention and admiration not only for the poetic essence but also for its exquisite aesthetic art work depicting the themes on coloured pages. Jasmine Grewal is a National Institute of Fashion Technology student whose work presages harvest of poetry waiting in the wings, says Dr Johal.
