Rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot and his 18 supporter MLAs have moved Rajasthan high court against Speaker CP Joshi’s disqualification notice.Their petition will be heard at 3 PM today. Notices served to them by the Rajasthan Speaker yesterday asked them to explain by Friday “anti-party activities”, failing which they would be disqualified.The legal action by team Pilot marks another escalation in the Congress government crisis in Rajasthan.
Since Sunday, Mr Pilot has been in Delhi along with some 20 MLAs. The Congress sent the notices via SMS, WhatsApp, email and post and even pasted documents in Hindi and English on walls outside their homes in Jaipur. If the rebel MLAs are disqualified, the majority mark will drop.
