The case of arresting Risham Garg, a close associate of AAP MLA Amit Ratan Kotfatta from Bathinda rural, with a bribe of 4 lakh rupees has come to light. On Friday, Vigilance produced Risham in the court from where the court remanded him till February 20. Vigilance SSP Harpal Singh said that many revelations may be made during the remand.
On Thursday evening, the vigilance team caught Risham Garg red-handed from the gate of Bathinda Circuit House, taking a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. At the time of Risham’s arrest, AAP MLA from Bathinda Rural Amit Ratan was also present in the VIP room inside the circuit house. Vigilance questioned the accused and AAP MLA for several hours. The complainant Pritpal Kumar said on Friday that his wife Seema Rani is the sarpanch of village Ghuda.
