Chandigarh Director General of Police DGP Praveer Ranjan and his wife were injured in an accident. The accident took place during a wedding ceremony at Lake Club in Chandigarh. The tent erected here fell down along with the pillar due to strong winds.
DGP, his wife and DSP Gurmukh Singh were injured due to its impact. Chandigarh’s SHO’s daughter’s wedding ceremony was going on. After the accident, the DGP along with his wife were immediately taken to Sector 16 hospital, from where they were referred to PGI. The DGP and his wife were treated at the trauma center here. DGP got 12 stitches on his head and his wife Malvika also got 4 stitches.
