The farmers’ organizations protesting the demolition of houses in Latifpura have become agitated. After the scuffle with the police on January 26, they have announced to open a front against the MLAs. They have decided that they will surround the houses of Jalandhar MLAs from February 2 and protest outside.
Leaders of farmers’ organizations say that they had already announced that they would submit a demand letter to the governor on January 26, but the police blocked their way. Not only this, the police also assaulted women and the elderly.
