Amid severe cold, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in Punjab-Haryana today, yellow alert issued.

On Tuesday, many parts of Punjab and Haryana are expected to experience rain along with hail. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next three days. Cold wave continued in many parts of both the states on Monday. Rupnagar recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius. Rupnagar was the coldest region of Punjab. Along with this, talking about other places of the state, Patiala also recorded a temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius at night.

According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Ludhiana was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius. Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the minimum temperature of Pathankot was recorded at 7.3, while the temperature of Bathinda was also recorded at 6.6 degrees Celsius at night. Haryana’s Jhajjar witnessed bitter cold, with the minimum temperature recorded at 5.3 degrees Celsius. Ambala recorded a minimum temperature of 7.6, Kurukshetra 7.7 and Karnal 7.
