IGP Headquarters Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill said that most cases have been registered in Ludhiana 15, Amritsar 14 and Ferozepur 13. In one week, the police recovered 1 kg of heroin, 5 kg of opium, 592 kg of poppy, a total of 1 lakh 95 thousand 464 units of medical drugs. Apart from this, a total of Rs 7 lakh 89 thousand 200 drug money has also been recovered.
Punjab Police has arrested a total of 13 fugitives last week. Under this campaign, the police have arrested 636 fugitives so far. Apart from this, a total of 255 accused have been arrested by registering 234 cases in the last one month under the ongoing campaign against China Door. Also, a total of 11 thousand 354 pallets of China Door have been recovered. Last week, Eagle-2 operation was conducted in the state under the supervision of ADGP, IGP, DIG. A total of 315 patrolling parties, 462 hi-tech blockades were conducted in this. A total of over 5,000 police officers were deployed.
