Heavy snowfall in 6 districts of Himachal, roads blocked at many places, advisory issued for tourists

Heavy snow is falling in 6 districts of the state including Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, the period of rain continues in the plains. Although there is light snowfall in Shimla, but a thick sheet of snow has spread in the hilly areas. A thick layer of snow has spread at Losar, Atal Tunnel, Rohtang Pass, Kunjampas, Baralacha in Lahaul Spiti district.

Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu and Chamba’s Pangi, Bharmaur are receiving light snowfall. Due to snowfall, the cold has also increased significantly in Shimla. The higher areas of Shimla including Kufri, Narkanda, Khada Pathar, Chaupal, Rohru, Chanshal, Narkanda are also receiving intermittent snowfall.
