The Chief Minister of Punjab has made a surprise visit to the Central Jail in Kapurthala for the first time on Monday after taking over the prison department. On this occasion, he met the jail officials. Along with this, he also met the prisoners and deportees. Giving information in this regard, the CM said that improvements are being made in the jails of Punjab.
Chief Minister Mann said that continuous efforts are being made to improve video conferencing and prisoners’ activities in prisons. Apart from this, he said that the living conditions of the prisoners in the jails are also being improved. The Chief Minister said that the prisoners released from the jails are being strengthened so that they do not get involved in criminal activities again.
