Chandigarh administration Banwari Lal Purohit has adopted a strict stance regarding the safety of women. In fact, under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, all public transports in Chandigarh, including taxis, three-wheelers and buses, have been prepared to install panic buttons and tracking devices.
