Jalandhar Rural Police has arrested three members of terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa who is living abroad. The police team led by Phillaur police station in-charge Surinder Kumar and outpost in-charge Apra Sukhwinder Pal has arrested the gangsters who were going to cause terrorism from Juja Chowk in Apra itself. Police recovered 8 pistols, 1 revolver, magazine and 37 live rounds from the arrested gangsters (7 pistol magazines and 1 revolver with 30 live rounds, .32 bore with 5 live rounds, 1 pistol 315 bore with 2 live rounds) one I-20 The car has been recovered.
SSP Swarandeep Singh said that the arrested gangsters were in contact with the terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa who was living abroad. He had planned to kill the rival gang members of gangster Ravi Balachoria, lodged in Amritsar jail. All this planning was done by Ravi Balachoria in conversation with the gangster Rajbir Kaushal lodged in Patiala Jail. Rajbir further contacted terrorist Landa sitting abroad to implement it. He sent the arrested accused forward to kill Balachoria’s opponents.
