Big changes have been made at the stations by the Indian Railways. Now looking at the facilities of the passengers at the railway board stations of Ferozepur, they are being equipped with modern facilities. Lifts and automatic stairs i.e. escalators are being installed at 15 stations of Railway Ferozepur. Apart from this, the upgradation work is also going on at Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt and Jammu Tawi stations.
Railway DRM Seema Sharma says that among the stations which the railway has selected for upgrading are Gurdaspur, Udhampur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Moga, Ferozepur Cantt, Muktsar, Fazilka, Kotakpura, Dhandari Kalan, Phagwara, Phillaur, Baijnath Paprola. Stations of Escalators or lifts will be installed at these stations for the convenience of passengers. Apart from Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi stations are also being upgraded.
