A mobile phone has been recovered from Monu Dagar, the accused sharp shooter in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, in Faridkot Jail. The recovery of the mobile from the accused is a gross negligence on the part of the jail administration, as Monu Dagar is locked up in the high security zone of the jail. It is being told that 14 phones including 6 touch screen mobiles, 3 chargers have been recovered during checking in the jail.
On the complaint of the jail administration, a case has been registered against a total of 4 convicts, 2 prisoners and unidentified persons including gangster Monu Dagar. Let us tell you that this is not the first case, cases of illegal use of mobile phones have also come to light in Bathinda, Patiala, Nabha etc. jails.
Let us tell you that the gangster Monu Dagar, a resident of Revali Sonepat, is associated with the Lawrence gang. He is also accused of firing on the deputy mayor of Moga on December 1, 2021. In which he was arrested by Moga police. Then SP Surendrajit of Moga had told that Monu, the sharp shooter of Lawrence gang, had come to kill the Deputy Mayor’s brother on the request of Goldie Brar living in Canada. Also, he had told that he is also guilty of the murder of Rana Kandhowalia in Amritsar.
