Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra has concluded in Srinagar. At the end of the Bharat Joko Yatra, the hopes of the Congress regarding the unity of the opposition have suffered a blow here. The Congress had expected a long queue of opposition leaders during the conclusion of the yatra. But on Monday, the party was disappointed. The party had invited around 23 parties to attend the closing programme, but only 8 parties participated in the programme.
According to the report, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge had invited heads of 23 political parties to attend the closing ceremony, but only a few leaders attended the event in Srinagar. The Congress had hoped that the parties which have been invited would send their representatives to the event to be held at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar, but this did not happen.
