Flights will resume from Ludhiana airport, central government gave approval after 3 years

Flights from Sahnewal in Ludhiana district of Punjab to Delhi are going to start again. For this, the central government has given approval. After a gap of three years now once again the businessmen of the metropolis will reach Delhi in a short time. It is being told that these flights may start in the summer season of 2023. According to information, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had written a letter to Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora from Ludhiana in this regard.

In this letter, he wrote that Ludhiana-Delhi-Ludhiana M/s Alliance Air was awarded the contract in the first round of bidding that started in 2017. The airline ceased operations of the route on 31 August 2020 after a three-year tenure. Currently there are no scheduled flight operations at Ludhiana Airport. In this regard, MP Arora also wrote a letter on January 17, 2023. MP Sanjeev Arora said that flights were stopped during Covid.
