A girl tried to commit suicide on the roof of Trillium Mall in Amritsar and the police rescued her after a 2-hour rescue operation. At around 9 o’clock last night, information was received from the police control room that a girl had climbed on the roof of Trillium Mall and was trying to commit suicide. Within a few minutes, the police team reached Trillium Mall. Before the police arrived, people gathered and stopped the girl from doing so.
ACP North Virinder Khosa said that the police started the rescue operation as soon as they reached the spot. In an attempt to get the girl safely, some of the police team went down and some went to the roof. A net was also placed below to protect the girl. The girl was entangled in the conversation and an attempt was made to take her down.
