DGCA imposed a fine of 30 lakhs on Air India in the Peshab incident, the license of the pilot was suspended

DGCA has taken major action on the incident of urinating in Air India flight. A fine of Rs 30 lakh has been imposed on Air India for violating the rules. Apart from this, the license of pilot in command has also been suspended for three months. The action has been taken against the pilot for failure to perform his duty under Rule 141 of Aircraft Rules 1937 and DGCA Civil Aviation Rules. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 30 lakh has been imposed on the director of Air India’s flight services.

In the case, the victim woman accused Air India of not taking timely action and compromising, after which the DGCA issued a show cause notice to Air India. DGCA asked Air India why action should not be taken against you. You have not fulfilled your responsibility properly but you will still be given two weeks to respond. Further action will be taken based on that.
