Lok Insaf Party chief and former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains has got a big relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The High Court has granted regular bail to him in the election dispute case registered in Ludhiana on 8 February 2022. It may be mentioned that during the Punjab Assembly elections, the local police registered a case against Bains and other people in connection with the election dispute in Daba area. However, apart from this, a case of rape has been registered against Bains. The verdict in this case is yet to come from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Lok Insaf Party chief and former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains had surrendered before the court on July 2022 in the rape case. Bains is the main accused in the rape case of a 44-year-old woman. A case was registered on 16 July 2021 against Bains and 5 people including his two brothers on the direction of the local court.
