Pakistan: Attack of Taliban terrorists on Peshawar police station, DSP including 2 killed

A group of Pakistani Taliban terrorists attacked a police station in Peshawar. The attack was carried out on Saturday, January 14. 6 to 7 terrorists came to attack the police station. 3 policemen have died in this terrorist attack, one of them is a senior police officer.

Kashif Abbasi, a member of the SSP operation team in Peshawar, said that around six to seven terrorists attacked Sarband police station on the border of Khyber tribal district with hand grenades, automatic weapons and sniper shots and three police personnel were killed in the firing. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Chief Moazzam Ansari said that the police bravely faced the terrorists. Tried to thwart their attack completely. The DSP was shot dead as soon as he entered the police station. However, he died during treatment in the hospital. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has expressed regret over this incident. He said that the martyrdom of the police personnel who were martyred while fighting the terrorists will not go unrecognized.
