In Ludhiana, Vigilance has arrested an ASI while accepting a bribe of 1,000. The name of the arrested ASI is Meghnath, who used to introduce the prisoners to their families by taking money. Vigilance caught the accused by setting a trap. According to the information, the accused used to meet the relatives of the convicts who appeared in the court. The accused used to do this work outside the court in Bakshikhana for which he used to take bribe.
It is being told that the accused used to do this work by dodging the authorities by taking a heavy daily fee. Vigilance officials received a complaint about this, after which they caught the ASI red-handed. The accused was arrested by the vigilance team from the DC office parking lot. The accused will be produced in court tomorrow.
