Bird flu alert in Himachal: Animal husbandry department took samples from poultry farms

Migratory birds are moving towards Himachal after extreme cold in Siberia and other countries of Russia. Due to which there is fear of spread of bird flu in Himachal. In view of this, the state government has alerted the health and animal husbandry department.

The animal husbandry department has instructed all the veterinary institutions to keep an eye on it. Chicken samples are being taken in poultry farms of Nalagarh and Baddi. Those are being sent for investigation. According to information, the route of migratory birds coming from Siberia in winter stays in the border areas of Solan and Sirmaur districts.
