In Punjab, including Chandigarh, Saturday was the coldest day and night of this season so far. Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 14.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest temperature so far this season. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog covering some places in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next four days. The department said that during the next 24 hours, the situation of cold wave is likely to remain in various parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
