On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Police is leaving no chance to crack down on drug smugglers in the state. Every day the police are conducting raids in many places and the smugglers are being controlled. Punjab Police is also presenting its weekly report. Even today, IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill, while giving information, said that amidst the decisive war against drugs, Punjab Police has registered a total of 192 FIRs under NDPS and arrested 271 drug smugglers.
Giving more information, IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill said that this week the police have also recovered 10.08 kg of heroin, 13.52 kg of opium, 5.52 kg of ganja, 3.43 quintal of crushed poppy seeds. Apart from 54123 tablets, capsules, injection vials of Pharma, drug money worth Rs. 17.66 lakh has also been recovered from their possession.
