Ludhiana: Electrical wires caught fire at the railway station, passengers escaped to save their lives

A sudden fire broke out on Sunday night due to a technical fault in the electrical wires near the warehouse of goods located on platform number-1 of Ludhiana railway station. With loud explosions, flames started coming out from the wires, after which there was chaos at the railway station. Passengers standing at the accident site at the railway station ran away and saved their lives. Along with this, the electricity department was informed and the main power supply was stopped.

According to information, after switching off the mains supply, the flames stopped and the fire was stopped from spreading further. During this accident, no piece of the parcel department was lying under the wires and there was not much crowd of passengers, due to which a major accident due to fire was avoided. After receiving the information about the accident, local railway officials and electricity employees reached the spot and started the work of repairing the wires. After hours of painstaking repair work, the interrupted power supply was restored.
