Ludhiana Police arrested 5 accused in three separate cases and recovered 535 grams of heroin, 5 kg of opium and drug money worth 55 thousand from their possession. According to the police, the recovered drugs are worth crores of rupees in the international market.
Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that Baljit Singh alias Lucky was arrested from Dhillon Nagar, Lohara on Monday and the police recovered 20 transparent empty pouches containing 265 grams of heroin. Drugs worth 25,000 have been recovered from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the NDPS Act at Daba police station. In another case, the police have arrested two accused from New Janata Nagar Ludhiana on charges of drug trafficking.
