The court has ordered Sabka Minister Sangat Singh Giljian to submit his passport in the forest scam. Punjab Vigilance was expressing suspicion that Giljis had escaped to America. On this, the court has issued these orders, while it was told that the Giljis have also booked a ticket to go to America, but after the court’s order, their problems are bound to increase.
Earlier, Daljit Singh, the nephew of the accused Sangat Singh Giljian, was arrested by the vigilance from Sector-37 of Chandigarh, but the arrest of the accused Giljian has been stayed by the court. Giljian was the Forest Minister in the cabinet of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in the Congress government. He sought bail from the High Court in the case but his plea was dismissed.
A case is registered against former minister Giljian in Mohali. Giljian was nominated along with jailed former Congress minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsaut. Daljit Singh has also been made an accused in the same case. According to Vigilance, Daljit Singh Giljian used to watch all the work of Sangeet Singh Giljian.
