Sant Seechewal spoke in his mother tongue in the Rajya Sabha, documents were also found in Punjabi

On the first day of the winter session of Parliament, which started from Wednesday, Rajya Sabha member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal delivered a speech in Punjabi mother tongue. In the meantime, documents were also provided to him in the Parliament in Punjab, on which Sant Seechewal expressed his happiness. He thanked the Speaker of the Rajya Sabha and said that when he came to the Rajya Sabha, former Speaker and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu supported him to speak in Punjabi language and today he has been provided with documents in Punjabi language.

It may be mentioned that during the session of the Rajya Sabha, Sant Seecheval raised the issue of non-availability of Punjabi language documents very seriously. The then Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, advocating regional languages, talked about working in the mother tongue in the constitutional institutions of the country. Even now he brought the problem of language to Jagdeep Dhankhar’s attention. To which Jagdeep Dhankhar got a positive response.
