The country will get a new national political party in the form of the Aam Aadmi Party as soon as the results of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections come out. On December 8, AAP’s entry into the eighth national party group will be cleared. Tomorrow Aam Aadmi Party will be able to qualify as a national party from the Election Commission. So far there are seven national parties in the country. Congress, BJP, BSP, CPI, CPM, Nationalist Congress ie NCP and Trinamool Congress ie TMC.
After capturing power in Delhi, Punjab and winning two MLAs in the Goa assembly, vote percentages in Gujarat and Himachal can now give it the status of a national party. Although the victory figures in MCD are right to boost morale, they have no role in the process of forming a national party. After getting national party status, the Aam Aadmi Party will get a big office in Delhi and an election symbol across the country along with many other facilities.
Arvind Kejriwal came out of the Anna movement and formed a political party named Aam Aadmi Party in 2013. This party made an identity in the state by winning 28 seats in the elections held in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party is currently in power in Punjab as well as Delhi. Apart from this, two MLAs and 6.8 percent votes were received in Goa Vidhan Sabha. On this basis Aam Aadmi Party is a registered recognized party in Delhi, Punjab, Goa, whose electoral symbol is Jharu.
