‘From April to November, there was a 21 percent increase in Punjab’s income from property registries’: Minister Jimpa

Compared to April November 2021, from April to November 2022, 21 percent more income has been accumulated in the treasury of the state from the sale of stamp papers and registration of land properties. This information was given by Punjab Revenue Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa. He said that providing transparent, hassle-free and corruption-free services to the people of Punjab is the main goal of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and with this the treasury of the state is continuously increasing.

In the year 2021, this earnings was Rs 2088.60 crore. Zimpa said that in the month of November 2022 we have recorded a 44 percent increase in revenue from the sale and registration of stamp papers as compared to November 2021. An income of Rs 376.78 crore has been recorded under Stamp and Registration in November 2022, while it was Rs 260.87 crore in November 2021.
