The Punjab and Haryana High Court, while giving a big relief to the former Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal, has stayed the lookout notice issued by the Punjab Vigilance against him and has stopped the Vigilance from taking any action against him. Meanwhile, Sarvesh Kaushal has assured the court that he is ready to join the vigilance investigation after returning from abroad in three weeks.
He said that the LoC has become a hurdle in the way of their return to their homeland. A stay notice has also been issued in this case. Advocate RS Cheema, Nitin Kaushal and other lawyers appeared for Sarvesh Kaushal, while Additional Advocate General Gaurav Garg Dhuriwala appeared for the Government of Punjab and Additional Solicitor General Satya Pal Jain for the Government of India. The court has fixed the date of next hearing on February 8, 2023, connecting this case with the KBS Sidhu case.
