Bathinda: Fraud of 1.88 crore from 90 people in the name of getting Canadian visa

A man running an immigration center on Ajit Road in Bathinda cheated 90 people of Rs 1.88 crore from a person working at immigration in Rampura by pretending to get Canada visa. The accused had taken this amount during the lockdown in 2020 and had assured that after the opening of the lockdown, visas would be issued for all the files, but when the visa was not received even after two years, when the victim asked for money from him, instead of returning the money, the accused He started threatening the victim.

In October 2022, the victim complained about the matter to SSP Bathinda. After the investigation, the police have registered a case against the operator of the accused immigration center and started the action. Currently, the arrest of the accused is pending. Manoj Bansal Rampura gave a complaint to the police station civil line and said that he works in immigration near the bus stand of Rampura Phool.
