Moonak canal case: SC directed the Punjab-Haryana government to submit a report in 4 weeks

The Supreme Court has reprimanded the government of Punjab and Haryana regarding the Munak canal case. The court said that the governments should take steps for the common people instead of politics so that the problems of the people can be solved. Only meetings are being held regarding the Moonk Canal issue, no solution is being worked out. The Supreme Court said that most of the land comes in Punjab’s share. Punjab government should not support Haryana, let it do its own work. The Punjab government has not taken serious steps. The court has ordered to submit the report within 4 weeks.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Harjit Grewal said that villages are being destroyed. 25 villages are facing flood problems. A hearing was held on this matter 3 months ago. It was decided that there will be 4 meetings every week. On the other hand, AAP MLA Barinder Goyal says that he has not received any support from the Haryana government. On the other hand, the Haryana government alleges that the Punjab government is not serious about the Munak canal issue.
