The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan is taking many big decisions to help the farmers for the management of stubble in the state. Under this, the government has extended the approval period for issuing subsidy to farmers for purchase of machinery and maintenance of stubble and direct sowing of wheat till November 20. Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal informed that the approval period of the machines which expired on November 7, 2022 has been extended till November 20, 2022.
Along with this, the Minister of Agriculture said that the approval period of baler rake to be issued from now on will be 21 days. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that this decision has been taken by the government with the aim of providing maximum support to the farmers for stubble conservation and direct sowing of wheat.
