The name of Chandigarh Airport is now registered in the name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in the papers. Ministry of Civil Aviation has notified Chandigarh Airport as Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport. A notification has been issued regarding this. So the gadget notification has been released. Now Chandigarh Airport is being displayed on the website as International Airport.
This naming took place in a program organized in Mohali district on the occasion of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s 115th birth anniversary. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also reached it. Apart from this, the Minister of Civil Aviation of the state Dr. Along with VK, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Governor BL Purohit, MP Kiran Kher, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Home Minister Anil Vij etc. had arrived.
During the program, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also demanded the Ministry of Civil Aviation to start more international flights from Chandigarh Airport. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also talked about renaming Chandigarh International Airport as Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport on the radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on September 25.
