Morbi bridge accident, ‘Renovation was done properly, it was God’s will’, manager’s strange statement

Orivo, the company responsible for Gujarat’s Morbi Bridge accident, is not a skilled engineer. He has done only fabrication work in the name of repairing the bridge. On the basis of the police report, the court admitted that there was a big mistake. Along with this, the court has sent four of the nine arrested accused on ten-day remand for serious investigation of the matter.

On Tuesday, the police produced all the 9 accused arrested in this case in the court. Meanwhile, the police counted the deficiencies in the repair of the bridge. Morbi Police Deputy SP PA Jala told the court that even after the repairs, the cables installed in the Jhulto bridge were rusted. According to the law they were supposed to be replaced, maybe they were replaced, but the quality was not taken care of, due to which this accident happened.

The police told CJM MJ Khan’s court that Deepak Parekh, the manager of the company, was fully responsible for the renovation of the bridge. He also knew how much weight this bridge could bear. In response, the manager said that this should not have happened but who can defy God’s will. The manager said that everyone from the company’s managing director to the lower level employees had worked very hard, but it was God’s will that such an unfortunate incident took place.
