The 40-day parole of rapist Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been challenged in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Chandigarh-based lawyer HC Arora has demanded the cancellation of Ram Rahim’s parole. For this, he has filed a petition in the High Court. Advocate HC Arora, in his petition, has referred to Ram Rahim’s conviction in the rape and murder cases. He said that the accused of such serious cases should not be given parole. HC Arora also targeted the Haryana government.
HC Arora said in the petition that Ram Rahim said in front of the people that this punishment is his spiritual journey, he will write a book on it. He said that Ram Rahim is making such statements after getting parole. Such things glamorize crime in the society. HC Arora said that the government is allowing the Dera chief to promote the criminalization of society. Let us tell you that earlier Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was released on parole on October 15.
