After this, on October 29, he announced the end of the indefinite sit-in that had been going on for about 20 days. The farmers had been appealing to the Punjab government to implement their demands in the month of September, but when the demands were not implemented, the farmers staged an indefinite dharna on the Sangrur-Patiala main road in front of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence at Sangrur. The protest started 20 days ago.
