The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) women volunteers have come up with a whole new idea of providing the women protestors with essential items, including sanitary pads at the dharna site. AAP leader Seema Sodhi shared that AAP women volunteers are taking due care of the women protestors, and providing them with the essentials items of daily use.
“As many as 3000 sanitary pads had been distributed among the women protestors, who were a part of the ongoing farmers stir. The party would continue to provide them with the daily needs as long as the ongoing agrarian strife continued,” told Sodhi.
The AAP volunteers confided that the women protestors, who had come from various parts of India, including Punjab, were in for a pleasant surprise with the gesture and thanked the AAP volunteers.
“The Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has put in place a team of female doctors, health workers to monitor the supply chain of sanitary pads and other essential items of daily use for women protestors did not stop. Delhi government has been engaged, in providing all kinds of facilities, including medical care, ‘langar’ (community kitchen), clean drinking water, makeshift lavatories ever since the farmers stir shifted to the national capital,” Seema asserted.
