Railways can start train operations in Punjab only if track & stations are clear…
In a press conference today, Chairman & CEO Railway Board Shri V.K.Yadav had clearly explained that Railways can start train operations in Punjab only if track & stations are clear for running of all trains including freight and passenger trains. The Minister of Railways in his letter to Chief Minister of Punjab on 26th Oct had categorically stated that “It is not possible for Railways to discriminate between customers and selectively run certain kind of freight trains.”
“The restriction on the types of trains, routes, destination and cargo etc. are impossible to adhere to and create huge uncertainty and risk to life and safety of our Railway personnel and property.” State Govt. is misguiding by saying that all tracks are clear for movement of Goods trains. We request the State Govt to clear the track and stations for operation of all trains.
