Karva Chauth 2020 is being celebrated today on 4 November. This festival is celebrated by married women by fasting and worshiping God for their husband’s long life. They eat before sunrise and fast for the whole day, which is completed after seeing the face of the moon and their spouse. On this day, women wear traditional sarees and decorate, embellish with makeup and jewelery.

But, fasting for the whole day can affect their health and it can also worsen their health. Therefore, they need to break the fast in a healthy way to stay fit. Here we will share with you some foods which women can keep in mind while breaking the fast, so that their health will not be affected.

Drink plenty of fluids just after breaking the fast to avoid dehydration. First drink normal water and then you can consume fruit juices, as they will provide you all the important nutrients. But never take such beverages which have high sugar. You can also take milk, but avoid it if it causes you acidity.

After the fluids, some dry fruits should be eaten to get the necessary carbohydrates and micronutrients. You can eat dry fruits like dates, raisins, figs, apricots. The fruits will provide you with natural sweetness and important minerals and vitamins. Hence fruits are always good for breaking the fast. After the fast, try to avoid any oily or fried food, as it may cause acid. Keep your food light and Karwachauth delightful.
