Today, the most renowned Punjabi Superstar Diljit Dosanjh wrote a short poem ‘Pata Tan Hona Tuhanu Janab’ on the issues of peasant movement and Hathras rape.
The poem is written in Punjabi and Roman script, without naming anyone, Singer seems to be asking the country’s political rulers if they may know that the peasants are not in the fields today and instead are on the railway tracks in their agitation program. He said that the condition of farmers was not good today and farmers were the breadwinners of the country.
He also remarked on the gang-rape of a 19-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district and said his family was sad and shattered and politics would now be played on these issues.
