Rekha Sharma issued notice to filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt

National Women’s Commission chairperson Rekha Sharma issued notice to filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt, Mouni Roy, besides Urvashi Rautela, Rannvijay Singh and Prince Narula to promote a modeling firm allegedly exploiting girls. Mahesh Bhatt has now responded to this matter.

A statement has been released by Mahesh Bhatt and his home production Special Films. It added that Mahesh Bhatt has nothing to do with IMG Ventures Company. His name was used by the company without consent. Mahesh Bhatt wrote in the post, ‘I salute the National Commission for Women that they have identified and acted on some organizations that promote sexual harassment with women in the industry. I am grateful to the Women’s Commission for this. I appeared before the Commission today with reference to the allegations against me. IMG Ventures used my name at its promotional event Mr. and Mrs. Glamor 2020 in November 2020 and invited me to be a part of the event. ‘
