A new update by Punjab police from their active department of narcotics .The Narcotic Control Cell of Punjab Police actively working on the tip-off. The Narcotic Cell nabbed two persons and arrested them under NDPS Act.
As per the information, while the police party was patrolling in the area of Lakho Ke Behram in Ferozepur, a tip-ff was received that two alleged accused Raj Singh and Baljinder Singh of Ghatian Wali Bodla who is involved in the profession of selling intoxicant – habit forming – drugs, can be caught red-handed, if raided instantly.
Working on the tip-off, the police team of Narcotic Control Cell raided at the designated place of Bus Stand Guddar Dhandi, nabbed two persons with Honda City car No.DC-4C-AB-4971 and on search, 28,000 habit forming drugs of Clovidol 100 SR brand were recovered.
A case under Sections 22/29/61/85 has been registered under NDPS Act at Lakho Ke Behram police station and further investigations are on by Gurcharan Singh IO appointed in this case. The focus of the investigation will be to crack the supply and distribution chain of drugs in the district.
