Campaign for repatriation of stranded Indians around the world intensified.
The fifth phase of Vande Bharat Mission is now starting from August 1, 2020. The Central Government, in collaboration with Air India, had launched the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ to repatriate Indian nationals stranded in other countries during the Corona virus epidemic and lockdown.
This mission started from May 6, 2020 till now. It brought back more than 8 lakh 14 thousand stranded Indians trapped in different countries to their home. More than 2 lakh 70 thousand people have been brought to India by flights from 53 countries. The fifth phase of Vande Bharat Mission is now starting from August 1, 2020.
