According to party sources, at the desire of Rahul Gandhi, the party high command has directed all states, districts and block units not to cut cakes or chant slogans on the birthday of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on June 19.
A Congress’ source gives information that KC Venugopal, General Secretary, Patri Association sent a letter to state units, in-charges, MLAs, party front organizations and departments, the party and has asked the leaders and workers to observe a two-minute silence in honor of the soldiers killed in Galwan Valley on Friday.
At the same time, the party said that maximum help shall be send to the poor who are suffering due to the Corona crisis.Earlier, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi had written a letter to the families of Indian Army personnel killed in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh. In the letter, Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers and saluted their courage.
